Help Us Shape the Future of Our Space Community

Over the past several years, we’ve built something truly special together — a vibrant community of space enthusiasts, educators, and advocates united by our shared passion for exploring the cosmos and inspiring the next generation.

Now, we find ourselves at a crossroads.

As many of you know, I’ve been honored to serve as the organizer and steward of the North Houston Space Society. However, I’ve reached a point where I can no longer continue in this role. Despite efforts to identify a successor, no one has yet stepped forward to take on the responsibility of leading the group into its next chapter.

Rather than letting this community quietly fade away, I’d like to propose something better: let’s come together  — to talk, reflect, and consider how we might evolve.

We’ve scheduled a special combined meeting with the Clear Lake Space Society to discuss what can come next. The goal is to explore how we might pool our enthusiasm, energy, and resources to support a united local space advocacy effort — one that honors what we’ve all built and points us toward what’s next.

📅 Special Combined Meeting

Tuesday, May 27th at 6:00 PM
📍 Airway Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
7806 Rowe Lane, Houston, TX 77075
(Light refreshments including pizza and coffee will be provided)

Whether you’ve been a regular attendee or haven’t made it to a meeting in a while, your voice is important. Please join us to share your thoughts, ideas, and hopes for how we can continue fostering space education and engagement in our community — even if it means doing so in new forms or through new partnerships.

Space is still our future — and this meeting will help determine how we move forward together.
